This was a great pool read, which continued on into the evening with a candle lit on the couch.
Things You Save in a Fire by Katherine Center is a story of family, change, love, and life. It was a fairly light read with some deep life stuff. Lots of lovely wisdom about forgiveness.
It’s set around the life of a female firefighter who has to decide if she wants to keep her cozy life in Texas, or say yes to her mother’s ask to join her in New England to take care of her for a year.
I don’t want to give too much away, so if you’re looking for a good read with heart, pick this one up.
