“I’m Thinking of Ending Things”

I was telling my friend Kenny (also a writer, learn about him here) about reading The Last Time I Lied and being caught up in the page-turning thriller with bonkers twists and turns and he said “If you’re into that, I have a recommendation for you.”

He told me about I‘m Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid. This book. Whoa. I had to put it down because it was getting dark and I was thoroughly spooked. I picked it up and finished it the next day in broad daylight while lounging in my inflatable pool. Though safe in my backyard, every noise startled me.

Upon finishing the book I texted my friend something akin to “what the actual fuck just happened.”

I don’t want to give too much away, but if you don’t mind a little creepy thriller…pick this one up.

The book has been made into a movie, coming to Netflix on September 4. Click here for the trailer. It doesn’t give too much away, but gives you a feel for the vibe and a little teeny bit of the plot.
