I’m going to start this post by saying how much I loved Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. I was so excited to dive into the sequel, Ready Player Two.
It started slow, and I wasn’t quite sure where Cline was going to take us on this next journey of Wade Watts. The book kicked into high gear about 100 pages in, and I again felt the hook of the first book’s quests. Then the end kind of fell flat for me.
I initially rated the book highly on Goodreads because I enjoyed the middle and I let go some of the things that bothered me…but the more I talked to a couple of friends about it (hi Happy and Kenny) I went back and changed my rating to 3/5.
I’ll let you make your own judgments, but I’ll say this: if you feel like the first 50 pages or so take you away from the characters you fell in love with….you likely won’t enjoy the rest of the book. Up to you if you want to keep reading, but that’s my warning.
Mmmmhmmmm LOL 🙋🏻♀️
